Women’s Leadership

Trainings for Women

…………………………

Audience

Small to large groups

…………………………

Objective

To increase women in management positions by enabling them with skills to fully step into their leadership potential

Our trainings offer professional and personal development that specifically addresses the unique needs and barriers women face in the workplace. The most common challenge is navigating the “double bind” dilemma effectively. Women are penalized for using leadership behaviors associated with masculinity and also penalized for behaviors seen too feminine. If a woman is a strong, assertive leader, she is viewed as domineering and aggressive, encountering resistance as a result. If she isn’t assertive enough, she is viewed as too soft or a pushover, making it hard to get support within the organization.

In addition to providing best practices for handling the “double bind” dilemma, we create a safe and confidential environment for women to learn, explore, and reflect on their own leadership journey. Our frameworks help women to examine their own beliefs, understand how they arrived at them, and be challenged on the ways those beliefs hold them back from showing up with their best, authentic selves. Participants also have the opportunity to connect and build relationships with other women around shared experiences.

Outcomes

  • Groom women to grow within organization into leadership and executive positions

  • Equip emerging and high-potential female leaders with skills and tools to take on increasing levels of responsibilities

  • Improve executive presence, confidence, and agency

  • Gain more self-awareness on strengths and personal leadership style

  • Analyze challenges through an understanding of self-perpetuated limiting patterns of thoughts and beliefs

  • Learn about power dynamics and systems-thinking

Women’s Circles

Audience

Small cohorts of 6-8 women

Objective

To build a community and support network for women professionals to connect, inspire, and learn together

Circles are small groups of female professionals who meet regularly to connect, support, and inspire each other. Each Circle operates on its own based on a peer-to-peer model with two facilitators co-leading the meeting. Discussion and activities are designed to create a safe space for members to “let their hair down,” celebrate successes, create a culture of mutual accountability and support, as well as to foster a strong sense of belonging in the workplace. Members also gain valuable insights and perspectives from listening to other women share their experiences.

We partner with companies to develop and scale their own Circles program to help women employees thrive within the organization. We provide step-by-step guidance throughout the entire launch process to ensure its success, including:

  • Establish guidelines for forming Circles (to ensure diverse membership)

  • Create company-wide communication & host kick-off events (to recruit members)

  • Develop relevant content & activities (how-to guides, meeting agendas, facilitation tips, other resources)

  • Train the facilitators so they are equipped to lead their own Circle (skills-building & on-going support)

Women who participate in Circles as members benefit from the meaningful connections they form with their peers. Circles empower women to tackle their personal and professional challenges to go after what they really want. For women choose to be facilitators for their Circle, they benefit from learning basic facilitation and leadership skills.

How Circles Work

Small cohorts of 6-8 women are brought together from various levels, job function, and demographic backgrounds in the organization. The richness and depth of a Circle experience greatly depends upon the diversity of its members.
